Enrolment applications can be completed online by clicking here. Once we have received your application, a member of our office team will be in touch to guide you through the next steps and answer any questions you may have.

Documents you will need

When enrolling your child, please bring the following original documents for us to sight:

• Your child's Birth Certificate or Passport (we will take a copy for our records).

• For children starting school at five years of age, an Immunisation Certificate (located in your child's Well Child/Tamariki Ora book and completed by your health provider).

• If you live within our school zone, two forms of proof of address, such as:

  • a rates notice or tenancy agreement, and

  • a recent utility bill.

School Visits

To help children feel confident and settled before their first day, we invite all enrolled preschool children to visit their classroom on Thursday mornings during the two weeks before they start school. These visits provide an opportunity to meet their teacher, become familiar with the classroom, make new friends, and begin their transition to school in a relaxed and welcoming environment.

Out of Zone Enrolments

Each year the board will determine the number of places which are likely to be available in the following year for the enrolment of students who live outside the home zone. ​

​

For 2026 Oranga School Board of Trustees determined that 20 places were available for students who live out of zone.
